About Us
Our reason
Team sports have an incredible way of bringing people together, whether strategizing the next play, celebrating wins, recovering from defeats, or supporting from the stands and sidelines. That sense of unity has led a group of U.S. youth hockey players and their families to create Goals & Assists for Ukraine, Inc. to support Ukrainian teammates, families, friends, and communities uprooted, separated, devastated, and destroyed by war.
Our foundation has no overhead expenses other than payment processing fees, so you can rest assured that nearly every dollar donated will go directly to supporting the people of Ukraine.
Our mission
While many nonprofits are helping Ukraine during this crisis, our organization has partnered with families in Ukraine to get money directly into their communities. Our foundation focuses primarily on helping the children of Ukraine. With your donations, we have...
- Sent over 40 children from Kyiv, ages 8 to 16, to Poland for a two-week summer camp, away from the sirens and stresses of war
- Supported families who have fled from Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kramatorsk, and Kherson, by helping their young children (ages 10-12) travel to Poland and Romania to play hockey. An opportunity for normalcy away from the war.
- Purchased equipment for Ukrainian junior players forced from their homes and left with limited financial support
